The story behind Geniacs
The founding
Geniacs was founded just before the turn of the millennium by Stefaan Lateur. The name originated in the world of information technology and pays tribute to ENIAC, widely recognized as one of the first general-purpose electronic computers.
G-Eniac Computer Services
By the time the company was founded, computers had already evolved into remarkably powerful systems. With a light reference to that evolution, the name G-Eniac Computer Services was born.
Anamaria Popa joins the team
Anamaria Popa became a valuable addition to the company, with a strong focus on administrative, organizational, and commercial activities. Her experience within the European Commission brought additional knowledge, structure, and inspiration.
Geniacs
Our services expanded beyond computer-related work alone. The word "Computer" disappeared from the company name and "Services" was reduced to a single letter. As a tribute to the past, the identity we proudly carry today was born: Geniacs.
